Physiotherapy, which is commonly called physical therapy in other countries, is a branch of science that primarily deals with physical medicine and physical rehabilitation. The process involves the use of mechanical movements and force to remediate impairments and help promote function, mobility, and quality of life. This is completed through the use of careful assessment, evaluation, diagnosis, prognosis, and physical intervention. The work is done by physiotherapists or physical therapists.
The practice is generally undertaken in local physiotherapy clinics, medical centres and hospitals. The physiotherapy profession encompasses activities and programmes including consultations, research, education, and administration. Physiotherapy services may be performed and conducted alongside, or together with, other relevant medical services.
With their degree-based healthcare profession, physiotherapists use their skills and knowledge to improve a wide range of conditions associated with various parts of the body including:
I had a ACL and Meniscus tear while playing basketball. I underwent a surgery at Apollo Visakhapatnam. After which, I was not showing progress when I was being treated by another physiotherapist. The situation has become pretty worse as I was not getting my required range of motion. That is when I was suggested by the Apollo team to consult Dr. Hareesh. My condition has rapidly gotten better. Dr. Hareesh would dedicate a lot of time, effort and energy to get you back to normalcy. I have never seen anybody that hardworking in my life and he has enabled me to get back my full range of motion. I insist that if you have any issues regarding physiotherapy, he should be the one that must be consulted.

It was a wonderful experience working with hareesh sir as he has been a very good physiotherapist to me. I remember it has been two years after the ACL reconstruction surgery and I am really good with my legs. I can also play sports. He has helped me bring back normalcy to my knees after getting the surgery done. He was very helpful with the exercises and also shared informative videos regarding the same. I personally recommend anyone to work with Dr. Hareesh as he is one of the best in his field.
